INSTALLING CEILING HOOKS

*** Warning: SkyPots can get heavy!***

(Especially after watering.)

For indoors, install ceiling hooks (not included) into structural beams or studs behind drywall when possible. Make sure your hooks can safely support the weight of your SkyPots vertical garden. Estimate the weight of your hanging vertical garden using the chart below. Always check manufacturer safe load ratings for your hooks.

We like these indoor hooks.

For outdoors (and sometimes indoors), install hooks into exposed beams whenever possible.

  • For raised locations such as high-rise balconies and terraces, always hang pots inside of railings to prevent long falls and minimize water runoff.
  • For concrete ceilings (most high-rise balconies), properly install concrete anchors using manufacturer’s instruction manual.
  • Hang out of reach of infants and small children.
  • Never hang or swing from pots.

Use a stud-finder to locate your ceiling studs behind drywall ceilings. Install long screws through the offset boards into the studs. Then install hooks at desired spacing into the offset board.
