HOW TO PLANT

HOW TO PLANT

1. Set down your assembled hanging pot on a flat surface. If it tips over, then either hold the rod or set it on a sturdy coffee mug, bowl or a plastic nursery pot while planting. Choose soil according to your plant’s needs.

2. Add about one inch of soil to bottom of pot. Don’t worry, the dirt will not clog the holes.

3. Remove plant(s) from nursery container(s). Massage root ball with hands to encourage new growth.

4. For large plants, poke rod up through the loosened root ball or gently part the root ball on one side and place in pot around rod.

For smaller plants, add plants along sides of rod.

Top off with soil and water.

5. Top off with soil to fill air gaps leaving 1/2” to 1” of space below rim to minimize runoff during watering.

6. Water to level out and moisten soil. Add more soil if necessary.
